About the Mission

The Call

In June 2026, a team from Foundation Baptist Church and Rock Hill Baptist Church will travel to Lilongwe, Malawi to serve at Zoey's Place — a ministry to orphans in some of the most remote villages in one of the world's poorest countries.

This site exists to support that trip. Every shirt sold and every gift given helps send the team, feed the children, and carry the gospel into a place that has been waiting.

"Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction." — James 1:27

About Zoey's Place

Zoey's Place is a network of Orphan Feeding Centers in the remote villages of Malawi, Africa — a small country on the southeastern side of the continent that remains one of the poorest in the world. Malawi is home to more than 1.4 million orphans. Health crises, poverty, and disease have left countless children without parents and without the basic necessities of life.

Zoey's Place exists to change that.

Their vision is simple and profound: to see the eternity of orphans transformed by the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and to meet their daily needs so they can live their lives to the glory of God. Each day, the children come to Zoey's Place for a nutritious meal — rice or nsima with beans, eggs, and vegetables — and for something deeper: after-school tutoring, life skills, Bible study, and the steady presence of adults who love them.

The ministry also employs women from the local villages as cooks. These mothers now have the means to provide for their own children — many of whom are themselves among Zoey's Friends. The ripple of the work extends well beyond a single meal.

The Rockhill Connection

Zoey's Place began with a Rock Hill Baptist Church mission trip in the summer of 2013.

On that trip, a team from Rock Hill met a newborn Malawian orphan named Trinity — only a few days old. What they encountered changed everything. They saw firsthand the life-threatening conditions facing Malawian orphans, and God began to stir a vision in their hearts that seemed impossibly large.

The ministry was named for Zoey, a little girl whose time on earth was short but whose impact was immeasurable. The Rock Hill team's encounter with Trinity happened on what would have been Zoey's second birthday — a moment the team believed God Himself had ordained.

Thirteen years later, Rock Hill Baptist continues to send teams. This June, Foundation Baptist Church is standing with Rock Hill as a sending church — supporting the team that goes, praying for the children they serve, and trusting God to do what only He can do.

How to Support

There are three ways to stand with this mission:

Buy a shirt. Every purchase sends profits directly to the trip. [Shop the Collection →]

Give directly. Any amount, one-time or with a note we'll read to the children when we're there. [Give to the Mission →]

Pray. For the team, for safe travel, for open hearts, and for the children of Malawi who are waiting.
