The honey badger doesn't know it's small. It takes on cobras, lions, and hyenas. It raids beehives with bees swarming its face and keeps walking. It gets knocked down and gets back up. Scientists have clocked its bite force, catalogued its resistance to snake venom, and documented its refusal to quit — and still, the honey badger is mostly known for one thing: it doesn't care.

But there's another way to read that. The honey badger isn't fearless because it's reckless. It's fearless because it knows what it is and what it's made for. It walks into what it was built to walk into.

"Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee." — Deuteronomy 31:6
